We've Reached the Crossed Flags
That's right, folks! We've hit the halfway point of the season. Round 6 of the Monster Energy Sho-Me State Pitbike Series went down July 10 in Lebanon at the Midway MX track, and it was another great one! A week of hot, steamy, rainy weather ended just in time to give us a great afternoon--hot, but not too hot, and it cooled off nicely as the sun began to set. The track actually needed watering all afternoon in the sun, and racers were treated to a track that was a lot of fun and provided some great action--lots of dicing through the pack! The 12" Pro class gave us a good start with some good racing and great riding. Stephen Simmoneau took the Hillbilly Special to a win in his class debut. Then the 88 Open class gave us some more excitement and the racers showed some real work at setting up and making passes on each other. The 12" Amateur once again provided the fullest gate, with Kyle Pettus coming out on top, scoring a 2-1. This time the 30 second board girl was a lot better looking than the first time at Lebanon.

NOTICE: It was requested by the oldest riders in the series that we return the Vet class to last year's age. So it was agreed that the Vet class is now +30 or +200 lbs for the remainder of the season. In other news, we now have the makeup date for Round 2 at Merwin. It will be on Sunday, August 15. They cannot have a practice day on Saturday for us, since they will be running a race at Kingsville, but no matter. CRW is having a race Saturday, August 14 in Lawson, MO. So hit up the CRW race on Saturday, then head over to Merwin and camp overnight for the Series race on Sunday!
