After a week of rain (make that a month), the skies cleared, temperatures rose, and Highway 65 MX had a great track for the ride day. Under sunny skies, Sho-Me Pitbikers had a great day to ride to their heart's content. Or at least until their hands blistered. Those who missed the ride day missed out on the most bang for the buck day ever--all day on a great track in great weather. When the shadows started getting long, people started packing it in, and the racks of new shirts that Grave Clothing had on display were perused and shopped through while others did some bench racing and reminiscing. Kehde's Barbecue arrived with the goods and then the banquet was on! A day out having fun in cool weather will get the appetites going, and everyone piled through the dinner in short order. Then it was time for the awards. The champions received their #1 plates, trophies, and commemorative t-shirts, all well-deserved for their hard work and dedication. There were also some special awards which recognized Justin Raub for the Sportsman Award, Fantasy Jim for the Iron Man Award, and Sara Seedyk for the Most Improved Rider. Congratulations to all. Every racer in attendance received award coupons from SixSixOne and Kenda Tires as well. Then it was time for drawings, where t-shirts and caps from PMP were up for grabs, along with t-shirts from Pitster Pro and Elf Bucks. When it was time for the pitbike giveaway, everyone held their breath as the slip was drawn from the bucket naming Kristina Seedyk as the winner. Congratulations to all.
